- Detrytus 2y agoIsn't this kind of self-evident? According to government statistics about 60% of high school graduates go to college, while IQ over 115 is found only in 15% of total population. If "everyone" goes to college then the average IQ of college kids must be pretty much the same as general population.
- RadixDLT 2y agowhat IQ test were they taking?

- kkfx 2y agoTwo notes, one from a short summary of Carl von Clausewitz monumental war treaty, done for training the Prussian prince, a passage where "even an imbecile who have memorized few fundamental things can act, succeed and being considered a warlord" of course until he or she find someone smart enough to test his/her own substantial incompetence, witch is pretty the same concept of https://fs.blog/experts-vs-imitators/ https://fs.blog/experts-vs-imitators/ the other is about programs or https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/08/i-was-useful-idiot-capitalism/615031/ https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/08/i-was-usef... Actually most people, regardless of their scholar path and social position, are more or less useful idiots, they know enough to float in a spot of the society they was able to find, but nothing more. That's the very same for the generic worker who hit his/her own hands multiple time not understanding why or the formally very skilled engineer who design crappy and expensive disasters, both blaming something else grasshoppers invasions and cosmic rays included. It's not a mere matter of IQ but substantial vs notional knowledge or gnosis vs doxa. Most these days are just trained for doxa, classify knowledge as something impossible, even dangerous, "perhaps for the PhD" (of course who is trained on the doxa-only basis)... Unfortunately building skills, substantial knowledge is much harder than building muscles, while it's far, far easier to loose them.
