The Ukrainian information sources claim around 550k “eliminated” but that includes wounded. Surely there is double counting for injured Russians to be sent out again.
The stated a average of wounded to killed in war is 4:1, so those numbers roughly line up.
- s1artibartfast 2y agoThe whole thing is a propaganda quagmire, with no neutral parties. Meduza reports 60k Russian deaths as of August 2023. At the same time, the US DOD was telling the world that Ukraine had 70k KIAs and 120k wounded.[1] It seems to me that we are emerging from a Ukraine is falling and needs our help cycle and entering a Ukraine is winning cycle, and the numbers reflect that.
