Wouldn't this TSID thing be more useful if it were implemented as a set of PostgreSQL stored procedures or something than a Java library? Not everyone uses Java.
- busterarm 2y agoIt's forked from https://github.com/f4b6a3/tsid-creator https://github.com/f4b6a3/tsid-creator. While this is also in Java, it has many reimplementations in other languages.

- stoperaticless 2y ago- Plenty of use-cases want to generate it on application side, so they can just “insert”, instead of “insert+select the id” - not everybody uses Postgre (either way, somebody will be left out)
