I created a component downloader from Ultra Librarian that imports directly into an in-repository KiCad library, along with models, metadata (Mouser ID, arrow ID) etc. It was named out of annoyance so it doesn't have the most 'appropriate' name so I'm probably never going to release it. But it works very well.
