- h2odragon 2y agoInteresting thing: the mpox vaccine offers some protection against smallpox. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/vis/vis-statements/smallpox-monkeypox.html https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/vis/vis-statements/smallpox... There has not been any smallpox vaccination generally available to US citizens for a while before this (you could get one if you were traveling to Somolia, but otherwise zip).
