Don't forget about analog computers like mechanical integrators or the anthykra mechanism.
Any device that would allow you to automate the production of devices like gears and cam shafts would greatly increase the bootstrapping rate.
- bondarchuk 2y agoA mold is such a device. Doesn't have to be a mechanical computer per se.
