Hey HN,
I'm Hirosi, and I love learning new coding skills from YouTube, just like many of you. I got frustrated with constantly pausing and replaying videos to take notes, disrupting my flow.
After 18 months of learning, I realized the process could be much more efficient. So, I created NoteFast—a Chrome extension to take notes faster and more efficiently at 10x speed.
Why you'll love it:
1. Save Time: No more pausing and replaying.
2. Avoid Distractions: Smooth, uninterrupted learning.
3. Learn Fast, Earn Fast: Master skills quickly and apply them sooner.
Check it out here: notefa.st
I'd love your feedback!

- dotcoma 2y agoHi Hirosi, nice product and I'm sure it will sell well. But: are we sure that FAST is the right way to learn? Are we sure that letting software take notes for us works well? I ask because some say that taking notes by hand, on paper, the old-fashioned way, works a lot better for how we are wired...
- hirosichen 2y agoHi dotcoma, Great point! We’re actually eager to explore including handwriting support in the future, thanks to your proposal. NoteFast’s goal is to streamline the note-taking process for quick and efficient learning, not just speed things up. With NoteFast, when you type a note, the YouTube video will automatically pause, and when you press Enter to save the note, the video will play again. It can also screenshot the timestamp where you take the note and fetch the subtitle nearby that timestamp, so you don't need to replay it again and again. If you’d like to try it out, I'm happy to send you a trial copy of NoteFast. It's a Chrome extension that can be easily installed. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! Drop me an email: hirosi@notefa.st Thanks for the feedback! Hirosi
