  Reddit discussions suggest he has many priors. This article implies his fate was set from one incident but I believe it's more complicated than that. If he was a first time sole offence he'd be diverted off custodial almost automatically.   That man should have known better. There is a time and place for carrying props from video games in public - and the time is when you're younger than 13yo.

    He should at least have had a companion. After all, it's dangerous to go alone.
