Built a small web app that sends email notifications whenever someone replies to one of your comments or posts on Hacker News. - PaulHoule 2y agoFails for me because (1) I have uppercase characters in my username and (2) HN usernames are case sensitive.

Funnily enough, initially I allowed usernames to be case sensitive because of what was said on this API https://github.com/HackerNews/API?tab=readme-ov-file#users https://github.com/HackerNews/API?tab=readme-ov-file#users . But after feedback (https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=mmarian#40857404 https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=mmarian#40857404) and self-testing (https://imgur.com/a/MKoJHcj https://imgur.com/a/MKoJHcj) I decided to make them case-insensitive. Now I need to revert back （─.─||）
