For Google's use case the sun is always shining somewhere. It might not be practical or realistic yet, but if they really wanted to they could.

- blitzar 2y agoBut you can transport search queries.
- robertlagrant 2y agoIt's true. If you build all your infrastructure n times over you could have solar panels powering (some of?) each infrastructure full infrastructure location. But would that work out better?
- troupo 2y agoThis assumes that all datacenters are created equal and it doesn't matter if you run stuff in the US or in Asia, or...
