Shocker, another CEO pushing for GenAI with little to no understanding of what the technology actually is. CEO's and upper management have long pushed for things they don't understand (see Crypto). But at least in the past the worst case scenario was wasted money and a failed initiative. Now it is putting out 'tools' that are borderline dangerous (See Google) and/or poorly conceived and infringes on other people's work.

They understand it very well and they don't care that it is basically steeling. The only reason they pulled the tool is that the trademark holder for the designer is a top dog compared to them.
