I replaced a working Kenmore refrigerator from 2001. Food was cold, yes, but I'm paying ~42¢/KW all-in here in the Bay. New Whirlpool fridge is bigger, nicer, and much, much more efficient to the point where it made more financial sense to replace the old working one.
