Is this satire? I think this is completely backwards. You can intuit math, you can't intuit the king of England during the 1400s, or what the word "defenestrate" means (well I guess you can if you know a bit of French or Latin). Everybody forms their own way of doing mathematics through the mind, but vocabulary and history are simply memorization.
