Some Ars articles are behind HN by days, weeks, or months.
Other articles take an unnecessary political dig; or comes off as selectively filtered, which comes off as dishonest.
Then there the articles like Infocom which strike the right tone.
Looking at your own post, the belief that anyone who doesn’t agree with renewables must be a FOX news consumer is woefully unnuanced and unhelpful.
- ZeroGravitas 2y agoThe data in the article literally shows that the divergence is older Republicans.
- nobodyandproud 2y agoIt's not the data, it's the low-effort interpretations and conclusions. John Timmer: "What's behind these changes? The single biggest factor appears to be negative partisanship combined with the election of Joe Biden." ZeroGravitas: "No, it's the children who are wrong, Fox News tells me constantly, making me fear for the future". Behind Trump's blowhard tactics and lies, just perhaps it's worth seeing why there's pushback from the conservative and rural citizens. Perhaps it really is just oil executives. Or perhaps there are some genuine concerns that we've missed. The latter, of course, takes extra level of effort and only matters if you view people in the other political party as...actual people and not "the enemy" or "idiots in fly over country" (those quotes aren't yours, but things I've overheard verbatim in years past).
