Social Media Giant Meta to Formally Announce Wyoming Data Center
- bediger4000 2y agoCheyenne is less than 20 miles from the Colorado border, 56 miles to Fort Collins, CO, 46 miles to Greeley, CO. Fort Collins has 25,000 student Colorado State University, Greeley has 9,000 student University of Northern Colorado. University of Wyoming, the only 4-year public school in the state is 51 miles away. Educated workers will be recruited and drive from Colorado. I hope Wyoming and Cheyenne governments haven't given too much in tax breaks and incentives for this, the take home pay and sales tax is going to Colorado.

The $1.2 billion solar farm project with more than 1.2 million panels will be built by Canadian energy giant Enbridge Inc. The 771-megawatt solar farm will be built on private land leases in two phases south of Cheyenne, about 4 miles southeast of the capital city. The solar power facility will generate enough electricity to light up more than 771,000 homes, more than in all of Wyoming."
