This site just ignores my language settings and guesses something based on the region it puts my IP in. Since that's Belgium, I get Dutch (which is not even in my "preferred languages"). Just lovely.
- kazinator 2y agoPlus, it's broken. I'm in Japan, getting English. They could at least have their Javascript randomly change some Rs to Ls and vice versa.
- kazinator 2y agoIf you're using uBlock Origin, then go to My Filters and add these lines: news.ycombinator.com##a[href*="mashable.com"]:upward(3) news.ycombinator.com##a[href*="mashable.com"]:upward(3) + tr you will not see mashable.com stories any more. When one occurs on the front page, you will see a discontinuity in the story numbers, and a slightly larger vertical gap where the deletion took place.
- moi2388 2y agoYeah it’s horrible. There’s just no way to get it in any other language. Well, just another site to completely avoid then
- IG_Semmelweiss 2y agoi absolutely hate that. That's an immediate avoid for me as well.
