Right. Training models is qualitatively different to educating or entertaining users.
- lupire 2y agoHow so? The models are educating and entertaining. Those things aren't what makes a copy fair use, though.
- chrishare 2y agoBecause models do so in competition with humans, in a way that threatens their way of life. Atleast until the rewards and benefits of ML are shared fairly, people don't to help accelerate that.

- chrishare 2y agoThey do, on a equal footing. Even human level AI will blow human professionals out of the water, let alone superhuman.
