- loeg 2y agoComparatively, the background population uses drugs at approximately 13%: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/drug-use-illicit.htm https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/drug-use-illicit.htm (ignoring alcohol, which is huge: ~53%). Most drug users aren't homeless.
