What is the function of the blackholes in a rational universe?
- akira2501 2y agoMaybe enforcing the second law of thermodynamics? Or they're a consequence of the same. It's a region of space where the conditions that existed before the big bang have ostensibly reestablished themselves, which is why it appears as a 2d boundary phenomenon to us. I am a total crank.

- pixl97 2y agoThere are theories that our universe is the inside of a black hole. >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole_cosmology https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole_cosmology If that is the case, then black holes are giant entropy recycling machines.
