Because 0,1,9 are too extreme. 5 is right in the middle. And I guess we have a psychological bias against even numbers? You're left with 3 and 7.

- Bluestein 2y agoThere was a (not so recent) article, about how single-digit distributions in you-would-expect random phenomena were not random, but tended to favour 1 and 2 and threes.-
- zero-sharp 2y agoSee time 5:51 of the video. He conducted his own survey & and the multiples of 10 were apparently "not random".
