I am not in favor of traffic circles. American drivers tend to mostly fall into two generalities: aggressively driving, and distracted pointing. They're not used to navigating those personalities in circles, and so we get a general breakdown of the flow. I'm not convinced circles are better but mathematically they apparently are, we just need better driving :)
