I've had no issues with FB even with 2FA enabled.
IG is a different matter.
IG suspended my account for violations of ToS for my posts.
The problem here is I don't post on IG.
I just used the account because sometimes you are forced to find stuff there, that is no place else. I logged into to look at something then was told of my supposed transgressions, without being told what they were exactly (FB has the same fluid Community Standards where they don't tell you what rule you broke and logged me out).
IG gave me 90 days to appeal.
The problem is I had 2FA on IG using Texting (not my choice that is all they had when I set up the account) and they never actually sent any texts to allow me to login to appeal. Which I could not do.
They permanently suspended the account at the 90 day mark.
I've seen many other people complaining that IG 2FA doesn't work.
No one at IG/Meta cares.
- ricardonunez 2y agoIt seems that's the case. I never had issues with FB, but this is not the first time I hear Instagram suspended a good account. A friend got suspended because his ex report him, and got suspended, he was an artist and had spent thousands on ads to grow his followers, Instagram didn't care.
- shermantanktop 2y agoBet you a zillion bucks that there are people at IG/Meta who care deeply, and read these posts and know exactly what hole the account fell into. But the decision-makers regarding priority don’t care enough.
