Many loyal members also get cushy directorship and leadership appointments to state-controlled companies [2], labour associations [3], and non-profits [4]. Some of these are up-and-coming MPs in need of resume padding, others are election losers that still need to maintain their million-dollar lifestyles. Cronyism at its finest.
