No, but it is an argument for focusing far more effort on cutting spending as that's the only thing that will materially move the needle.
Where are the movements to reign in government? They hardly exist. People are delusional about what is causing their ills. Inflation? Caused by populism, not the rich. But nobody wants to admit that.
