We have many (about 1 per 20'000 people) short circuits consisting of exercise stations scattered about a forest with a jogging/walking path connecting them. As far as I know, the insurance companies sponsor these, and presumably they find the upkeep costs (under $1'500/year?) pay back in reduced overall payouts?
