A critical motivation for dumb web was blackberries and early iphones. They had extremely limited computational power.
Remember flash? It was just too power hungry to run on phones.
Today's phones are stronger than yesterday's computers.
- koliber 2y agoThere were many reasons that this cycle unfolded how it did. Many of those reasons were good. It's only a problem when a company jumps on fad and uses technology in a way that is trendy, without understanding the why behind it.
