If I ever get bored, it's only in situations where I can't easily leave to do what I want. For example, in meetings or while waiting for transportation. Otherwise, I always know something interesting to do.

Because there is some end goal that you want to achieve, but your mind is not focused enough to see this. If you become aware of being bored just remind yourself what is your end goal and consciously see that the situation you are in is the best way known to you (at least right now) to achieve it.
