Farmers went from 70% to less than 20% of the population in a single lifetime.
How frequently do you lament their disappearance?
- drekk 2y agoThe health and environmental impacts of centralizing and industrializing food production are lamentable, even if most Americans don't think about it.
- hazbot 2y agoLess lamentable than the health impacts (famine) of not centralizing and industrializing food production!
- N0b8ez 2y agoCentralizing and industrializing food production has its own famine hazards, like if a strong solar flare were to happen.
- paulddraper 2y agoAssuming it were feasible, do you wish you were a farmer?
- tail_exchange 2y agoI may be in the minority in this very diverse crowd, but yes, I would prefer that over my corporate job.
- paulddraper 2y agoYou would certainly be in the minority. The vast majority of mankind has left farming, once the opportunity presented itself.
