It's been almost three years since the release of GPT-3, and there still isn't any regulation or standardization for opting out/in of AI training.
Can we expect any changes in this area at all? Can anyone point me to some resources?
- Findecanor 2y agoRegulation: The recent European Union Artificial Intelligence Act [1] defines in article 105 together with EU directive 2019/790 article 4 [2] that copyright holders have the right to opt out. The US has no such regulation. Standardisation: Not really. There exist a bunch of novel protocols, but apart from robots.txt (which can only name robots you know), there isn't any established standard. The Open Future think-tank has posted a couple overviews of these [3] [4].
