  See also the Seagate Elite 47 from 1997? 5.25" full height, 14 platters, 28 heads, wide scsi-2?, 47GB [1] Of course, 14 platters doesn't sound like that many anymore. High capacity 3.5" drives now use nine platters [2], although it's harder to find the specs.
