This may be rose-tinted glasses, but I was fine with merges with Mercurial / https://tortoisehg.bitbucket.io/ https://tortoisehg.bitbucket.io/ but subsequently using git (with gitlab/GitHub ) I've been rebase + `--force-with-lease` every time. I'm happy with my current git workflow, but I can't help but feel I'm missing a trick through finding git merge commits so difficult to understand
