I went for a PhD at the age of 37, learned quite a lot. Raw science is something that AI still struggles with, and expected to do so for some time.

- atemerev 2y agoI was working as a software engineer in finance (high-frequency trading, etc). When COVID started, I wanted to do something about it, so I joined a PhD program in medicine. Now I work as a HPC software engineer in neuroscience.
