I'm working at a hardware shop, we are making what is essentially is a special kind of network routers/switches for analog network (DOCSIS). And we also got hit by NN craze, half of automation team is developing an "analyzer" based on some neural network model for our lab tests which classify fails by type. A completely useless activity, because even if that code guesses correctly, we still need to go see logs manually and make a decision manually, one by one. Exactly as if NN didn't exist. But after trying to tell that in team chat I was confronted with doubt and rejection. And so this development continues.
