I’m not in the industry, but I’ve been watching solar and batteries since around 2014. It’s been incredible to watch. The prices have fallen so much that solar is competitive in large parts of the world. It seems clear that by 2030 solar and batteries will outcompete every other form of energy generation. The only exception will be very far north countries. 1 TW per year of factory production is just around the corner.
