Once again I am relieved that I run ZFS with zrepl taking a snapshot every 15 minutes. I could `rm -rf /` and be back up and running in 5 minutes with no data loss.
- josephcsible 2y agoBtrfs and snapper give you basically the same thing, without needing any out-of-tree kernel modules.
- craftkiller 2y agoPerhaps, but btrfs has lost all my data twice. There's an old saying in Tennessee that says "Corrupt all my data once, shame on you. Corrupt all my data twice, you can't corrupt all my data again."
- doublepg23 2y agoIf you're using btrfs on /home you won't need systemd to delete it because it'll already be corrupt. /s
