- reify 2y agoFor fun I use an alias to connect wifi with the old dial up connection sounds and to disconnect I use the phone sound from the film matrix. alias wifion='nmcli dev wifi connect BSSID && paplay "path/to/.wav-file' for the disconnect sound I use the Matrix phone line disconnect tone; alias wifioff='nmcli d disconnect BSSID' && paplay "path/to/.wav-file' you can use aplay or Paplay dial-up sounds files here: https://www.soundjay.com/dial-up-modem-sound-effect.html https://www.soundjay.com/dial-up-modem-sound-effect.html
