The anti-gun rights lobby does the exact same thing - they have paid "experts" that testify in favor of any given rights restrictions, somehow always finding that yes, the answer is always to take away the rights of citizens to defend themselves. Surely, NYT will be running an exposé on current Democratic candidate for Montana governor and former paid expert who defended numerous gun rights restrictions Ryan Busse?
