- Log_out_ 2y agoThe training material gets ever sparser though. One can imagine a world, where Training becomes turked. A NN (lets call it toddler) creates stories to a topic and a human specialist (lets call it parent) reacts to that, defining groznd truths in endless conversations about why the sky is blue.
- animal531 2y agoI remember back in the day when I bought my first 3dfx Voodoo graphics card, it was such an amazing experience to see for example Quake run at 640x480 with anti-aliasing etc. It totally destroyed the 2d VESA cards rendering in mode X at 320x240. Some time after that my friend bought an Nvidia Riva card, I can't remember exactly which version it was though. It could handle slightly higher resolutions but overall the rendering quality just wasn't as good. At the time I thought to myself that my friend had wasted his money on an inferior product. Had someone from either company asked me to invest all my money in them at that point I would have made a very poor choice between the two.

- gmerc 2y agoThe Riva128 had 32bit color vs the 3dfx 16 bit - and that made a huge difference with the right screen like a Sony. No going back after that.
