There seems to be this great dellusion being spread that it would not be such a big deal to not make people dissent. You can notice it in how people reason about 'war time manufacturing' and the like in the event of a Great war. Like there would be any factories running at all. Or logistics to support brigade manouvers. Or state sized organizations.
