Its interesting to me that companies literally bet the entire company on there never being any problem ever with their github repos.
There's an assumption that it is simply impossible to lose the data that you store in github.
- vitonsky 2y agoHuh, we see an arguments against of this point every year. The projects like https://yuzu-emu.org/ https://yuzu-emu.org/ (deleted from github and now lives as https://suyu.dev/ https://suyu.dev/) or youtube-dl (been suspended on github for some time), a lot of developers from Russia and another countries under sanctions also been blocked. Github is a place for communication with dev community, but it is definitely not a safe place for backup the code.
