I would be interested if somebody also writes "Zig vs. V". I know the latter ate a lot of flak around here but I've been checking it a few times a year and it seems to legitimately make progress. But I won't be trying it myself, sadly my plate is quite full already. Maybe an organization doing something like "Yearly round-up of systems languages" would be hugely beneficial to the community, provided anybody is willing to pick up the torch.
