Saying that was half of Trump supporters was hyperbolic and perhaps inaccurate, but MAGA world adopted 'deplorable' as a badge of honor of their own free will. Do you think they indeed self-identify as racist, sexist, homophobic, or Islamaphobic? I can only speak for the people I know personally, but that label does seem to fit. When you think you are being oppressed by "the alphabet mafia" you may want to take a step back.
