Show HN: I made a tool to export Namecheap DNS Zones in an easy way
After i found out there is no option to export a DNS-Zone from the Namecheap Backoffice i made a tool for it. Also because the alternative would be to or copy-paste all records by hand or to be lucky and find a support-operator which exports it and sends it to you via chat.
In order to use it you need to enable the Namecheap API, you´ll find a guide in the connection setting of the tool.
Once connected you will see a list of your domains and by clicking on it you will see your DNS-Zone. From there you can simply copy-paste it or also download it as .txt.
Please leave some feedback, thank you very much :)
- KomoD 2y agoNow that's pretty dangerous. Why isn't it just a script? Also why does the main domain redirects to some Italian sugar manufacturer? Kind of strange
- gweit 2y agoFair enough. I made a public repo on github for anyone to clone and execute locally: https://github.com/gweit/namecheap-dns-exporter https://github.com/gweit/namecheap-dns-exporter I also fixed the conf for the main domain.
