Closing the Army's Tactical Air Defense Gap
- ungreased0675 2y agoPulling people out of retirement to build more of the same short range missile the Army bought in the 80’s is not how the gap is closed. Where are the new systems? Does anyone build things anymore?
- jc6 2y agoCompare the revenues of the MIL complex to the rest of the options available on the Fortune 500. The views expressed are those of the authors, and do not reflect the official position of the United States Military Academy, Department of the Army, or Department of Defense." Here is what the Army is buying now: https://defensescoop.com/2024/02/09/army-600-coyote-counter-drone-rtx/ https://defensescoop.com/2024/02/09/army-600-coyote-counter-... https://www.rtx.com/raytheon/news/2024/02/08/meet-lids-a-sure-shot-against-drones https://www.rtx.com/raytheon/news/2024/02/08/meet-lids-a-sur... There are also laser defeaters in development, and EW counter-drone systems are currently in use.
