> Driven by this belief in the synergy between Open Source and climate action
Honestly, this seems like at best drawing by straws or something though up by LLM.
- blitzar 2y agoThe Ai that comes up with that would be the dumbest LLM I have ever seen.
- distcs 2y agoFrom the HN guidelines: > Comments should get more thoughtful and substantive, not less, as a topic gets more divisive. > Please don't post shallow dismissals, especially of other people's work. A good critical comment teaches us something.
- blooalien 2y ago> "A good critical comment teaches us something." Sure it does... Right up until the parent comment gets downvoted to oblivion, taking all subsequent responses out with it, leaving nothing potentially educational behind for anyone to learn from. (Not a problem unique to HN by a longshot, but actually a shortcoming of nearly every discussion forum I've seen that allows downvoting.)
- protontypes 2y agoNo, all text and images are 100% man-made. It's always astonishing how many people don't understand the crucial role of (open source) software and climate change. Just look at the massive greenwashing that has taken place in recent years with manipulated CO2 offsetting figures. If we want to trust numbers about the impact on our environment and their part of our prices, there is no way around making these numbers traceable using open source / open science methods. And LLMs are not traceable.
