A lot of “paper” is coated or dipped in plastic (like the drinking straws).
- alt227 2y agoHistorically it was dipped in wax, and a lot of places like butchers will still use wax paper instead of plastic.
- throwaway48476 2y agoThe wax in wax paper is also a petroleum product.
- yfw 2y agoDoesn't have to be. Can be vegetable or bees
- alt227 2y agoWe use bees wax paper and cloth in the house instead of cling film/plastic wrap and baggies. Its easily washable and reuesable, everyone should use it and there would be a lot less plastic waste.
- arresin 2y agoVery cool. How do you replace baggies with the wax paper?
