I once saw Sussman speak in a group of about 20 neuroscience PhD candidates in an NYU basement. He was talking about AI interpretability long before it was in vougue. Anyways I asked one question and he immediately sensed there was an EE in the room and went to the side blackboard and showed how we can figure out how an opamp works through first principles. So much energy and intelligence in that man. Left an impression for sure.
