The status quo/momentum probably accounts for the majority of these folks. I don't think the HN crowd appreciates how complacent most people are when it comes to work. A lot of these folks are probably just on autopilot and haven't been affected enough to make them want to move on. The rest are people who can't (i.e. visa holders) and Musk fanboys.
