It suggests the owners are idiots, or being as charitable as I can, they are hoping to sell to idiots.
Because who else but an idiot would buy a used car for more than they can buy it retail?
Priced for != sold for. How much have they actually been selling for?
Without selling, their value is $0.
- ralph84 2y agoIt’s not available at retail today. If you order today it will be delivered in 2025.
- nverno 2y ago> Because who else but an idiot would buy a used car for more than they can buy it retail? Isn't the wait time to get one pretty significant? I doubt the people buying trucks at these prices are overly concerned with deal-hunting.
- brokenmachine 2y agoI didn't know about a waiting time. >I doubt the people buying trucks at these prices are overly concerned with deal-hunting. That all rests on the question of what they are actually selling for.
- demondemidi 2y agoYeah, I thought it was a luxury item either people with too much money buy to be hip, or people with not enough money go into debt for to make it look like they have too much money. It appears those are the only two types of people buying them. I gotta admit it is pretty exciting to such an all-around awful object rocket to popularity, even if it is a niche market everyone is talking about it.
- dialup_sounds 2y agoThere are at least a few idiots buying them to rent out to bigger idiots for $400+/day on Turo.
