Just keep looking. Ideally, find a tech team in a company whose core competency isn't tech. Places with outdated tech stacks are a clue that the weaponized management techniques also haven't yet spread.
- AnimalMuppet 2y agoI'm not sure I see the connection between "oppressive personnel management" and "current tech stack". The two seem orthogonal to me.
- jollyllama 2y agoAssuming like in OP's post the management practices OP dislikes are relatively newer, the connection is there are places where new things are adopted and there are places where change is met with trepidation, to varying degrees.
